Recently, Maersk and CMA CGM signed a new slot charter agreement:

Starting in January 2026, subject to relevant regulatory obligations, Maersk will provide CMA CGM with slot capacity on Oceania routes.

Maersk will maintain control of the routes and be fully responsible for their operation.

Maersk stated that it will continue to be committed to providing customers with high-quality, stable, and reliable services, and guaranteeing weekly slot availability.

In fact, as early as March of this year, the two companies had already begun jointly operating a new route from Asia to the East Coast of South America (ASAS2/SEAS3).

This collaboration involves 11 vessels, each with a capacity of 5000 TEU to 8000 TEU, with CMA CGM operating 7 vessels and Maersk operating 4, providing customers with weekly direct services.
